HANASAARI – HANAHOLMEN
Hanasaari is a Finnish-Swedish conference centre at its best: versatile facilities, modern hotel rooms, a comfortable pool and sauna area, and a stylish restaurant. Hanasaari’s unique setting and architecture are second to none, with remarkable works of art both indoors and outdoors. The cultural centre is located in Espoo with excellent transport connections, just a few kilometres from the centre of Helsinki.
Hanasaari received excellent reviews from the participants of Magia 2025 for its facilities, food, technical services and customer service. The Finnish Magic Circle has also worked with Hanasaari in 1980 and 1985, when the Nordic Magic Days were held there.
In 2026, the Magic Days return to Hanasaari for the fourth time!
CONVENTION CENTER
Hanaholmen is perfectly suited for magicians! In addition to the main hall and smaller auditoriums, there are plenty of spaces for sessioning and hanging out. The public areas of the congress centre are available for magicians to use 24/7 throughout the event.
The main programme takes place across several different rooms and venues. The versatile setting makes it possible to create a high-quality evening programme: jam sessions, a magic video room, an auction, and much more. The bar stays open late for magicians!
HOTEL HANAHOLMEN
Hanaholmen’s hotel is a unique blend of 1970s architecture, design classics, Nordic art, and a calm archipelago atmosphere. Accommodation is available in single or double rooms, all with sea views.
Your stay includes a generous buffet breakfast and access to the sauna and pool area, either in the morning or evening. Magic sessions in the sauna? Hmm…

RESTAURANT PLATS
Experience a unique journey into Nordic cuisine!
Restaurant Plats will provide the gala dinner, buffet lunches, and breakfast for hotel guests. The Saturday Gala Dinner is included for all 3-day and Saturday convention pass holders (value €65). The dinner will feature entertainment and the award ceremony.
Meals must be booked in advance using the registration form.
To reduce food waste, the restaurant will not prepare extra portions.

ARRIVAL
Hanasaari Cultural Centre is located in Espoo with excellent transport connections, just a few kilometres from the centre of Helsinki.
Hanasaari is easy to reach by both public transport and car.

The nearest metro station to Hanasaari is Koivusaari. The walk from Koivusaari metro station to Hanasaari is approximately 1.1 km.
From the Hanasaari bus stop on Länsiväylä, it is approximately a 400-metre walk to the entrance of Hanasaari.

From the centre of Helsinki, the taxi ride to Hanasaari takes approximately 10 minutes. From Helsinki Airport, the journey takes around 40 minutes.
Please note! There is also a power plant called Hanasaari in Helsinki, which can sometimes cause confusion.
Make sure to ask the driver to take you to Hanasaari in Espoo.
Hanasaari is located just off Länsiväylä (Road 51, Hangontie). You can drive directly to Hanasaari from the motorway via its own exit, located between the Lauttasaari and Ring I/Tapiola exits. The exit is marked with a “Hanasaari” road sign. GPS coordinates for the exit: N60º10.0 E24º50.6.
The distance from central Helsinki is approximately 6 km.
From the west: Follow Road 51 towards Helsinki and take the Hanasaari exit.
From the north (e.g. Helsinki Airport): Drive towards Helsinki, then take Ring I west towards Länsiväylä (Road 51, Hangontie). Follow Länsiväylä towards Helsinki. After approximately one kilometre, take the signposted Hanasaari exit.
FOR INTERNATIONAL GUESTS
Magia is easy to reach from anywhere in Europe and beyond. Helsinki Airport (HEL) has direct connections to major European cities and several destinations in Asia and North America. From the airport, Hanasaari is approximately 30–40 minutes away by taxi or about an hour by public transport.
Helsinki can also be reached by ferry from Stockholm an Tallinn. Hanasaari is located just 6 km from central Helsinki, so arriving from the city centre or the ferry terminals is easy by taxi or public transport.
For international guests, we recommend flying to Helsinki Airport (HEL) and travelling directly to Hanasaari. Once you arrive, everything is under one roof: the convention, hotel, restaurant, sauna and most of the programme take place at Hanasaari.
